Privacy Policy

Schoolio is committed to protecting the privacy of teachers, school administrators, and learners. This policy explains what data we collect, why we process it, and the controls available to you.

Last updated: 8 April 2026

1) Information we collect

We may collect account information (name, email, school, role), profile data, subscription/payment metadata, support messages, and educational content created in the app (schemes, lessons, assessments, notes, and related files). We also collect technical telemetry such as device/browser details, error logs, and security events.

2) How we use information

We process data to provide core Schoolio features, authenticate users, synchronize web/mobile sessions, process subscriptions, detect abuse, troubleshoot incidents, and improve quality and safety of the platform. We may also use aggregated, non-identifying analytics for product planning.

3) Legal basis and consent

Depending on jurisdiction, we process data under one or more legal bases: performance of a contract (service delivery), legitimate interests (security and reliability), legal obligations (compliance), and consent (where required for specific processing).

4) Sharing and disclosures

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with trusted infrastructure, payment, email, and support providers strictly to operate Schoolio. Data may also be disclosed when required by law, lawful requests, or to protect users and platform integrity.

5) Data retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and for defined legal, audit, fraud-prevention, and backup windows. Upon valid deletion request, data is removed or anonymized within operational limits, except where retention is legally required.

6) Security safeguards

We use layered security controls including access restriction, authentication safeguards, encrypted transport, logging, and operational monitoring. No online service is perfectly risk-free, but we continuously improve safeguards and incident response procedures.

7) International data transfers

Because infrastructure providers may operate in multiple regions, data can be processed outside your country. Where applicable, we use contractual and organizational safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8) Your rights

Subject to local law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or export of your personal data, and may object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

9) Children's data and schools

Schoolio is designed for educational institutions and professional educators. Schools remain responsible for ensuring lawful handling of learner data in their use of the platform and for obtaining required permissions where applicable.

10) Updates to this policy

We may revise this policy to reflect legal, technical, or product changes. Material updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

11) Contact and requests
